Essex Preschool

Essex Preschool is an iconic institution in the greater Connecticut River Valley region, educating generations of children since 1968. We strive to offer exemplary full day, year round preschool for 2.9 - 5 year olds and elementary extended day programs to meet the needs of today’s families. We are fully licensed by the CT Office of Early Childhood and have been awarded Elevate Member + status from the OEC for our commitment to quality programming. Our small size and low teacher to student ratio allows us to curate individual learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of today’s children. Believing that one size does not fit all, our highly qualified early childhood educators employ multiple instructional methods to deliver a Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CTELDS) aligned educational experience for our young learners. We strive to create a collaborative learning community that extends beyond the walls of te classroom to engage our families and caregivers, our community partners, and regional and statewide stakeholders.
